Texas LTC Proficiency test with Range Instruction / LEOSA Test.
This is the 1+ hour of range instruction plus the 50-round shooting test required by the state to obtain a Texas License to Carry (“LTC”). We will shoot from a ready position at 15, 7, and 3 yards. This class also meets the criteria for the LEOSA proficiency demonstration.
Please bring your LTC-104 printout
Any caliber handgun is allowed, including .22s. Non-magnified optics are now permitted during the shooting test.

What to bring:
Hydration and snacks.
Unless I am providing a loaner firearm and ammo, please bring:
- Your firearm
- At least two magazines.
- The amount of ammo specified in the course description.
- Shooting glasses and hearing protection, preferably electronic.
What to wear:
- A shirt with a high, snug collar
- A baseball cap
- Closed-toe shoes (no sandaIs)
- If class involves drawing from a holster, wear a sturdy belt (LTC does not)

I would like to express how grateful I am for having attended the TDR Training for the Texas LTC Proficiency test with Range Instruction with Tim Reedy as my instructor.
